JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the administration of Universal Hourly, Seasonal, and Lump Sum annual merits. Prepares upload files and coordinates the processing of files. Performs complete audit of merits once processed and resolves issues as necessary. Partners with HR teams on questions and to resolve issues related to hourly merits. Assists with maintenance of company-wide job descriptions and updates to the Compensation SharePoint site.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs data entry and review of all hourly merit transactional requests. Reviews and validates data provided on requests, determines if data is complete and processes transaction accordingly. Complies with and ensures all requests follow established policies and procedures.
  • Calculates hourly merit lump sum increases using prior earnings data from multiple HR systems. Validates the accuracy of final calculation and submits payment request for payroll processing. Performs regular audits of automated seasonal merit process and works with technology team(s) for enhancements and testing of the process.
  • Generate reports for processing hourly merits and ensures accuracy of data. Prepares upload files and coordinates the processing of files. Performs complete audit of merits once processed and resolves issues as necessary. Partner with HR teams on questions and to resolve issues related to hourly merits.
  • Assist with creation of job/position descriptions in accordance with company structure. Works with HR partners to request job code and title creations and updates. Assist with maintenance and updates to the Compensation SharePoint site.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Associate degree in Human Resources, Finance or Business preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years working in a Human Resources environment; Some Microsoft Excel experience is required
  • ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
