JOB SUMMARY:
This position serves as the primary Senior Analyst supporting the Audience Data Governance and Privacy Operations team at Universal Destinations and Experiences. The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that marketing data is managed responsibly and complies with privacy regulations. This person will be responsible for managing Privacy Impact Assessments, supporting privacy reviews for personalization use cases, overseeing the management and utilization of the Collibra data governance tool, and ensuring timely responses to regulatory requests mitigating risks.
Reporting to the Manger of Audience Governance & Privacy Operations, this role will collaborate closely with legal, privacy, cybersecurity, and enterprise data governance teams to ensure that Marketing data governance aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the data steward for the Marketing Analytics Collibra workspace to develop, maintain and classify data assets cataloged with the platform while also collaborating with enterprise data governance to ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency across enterprise datasets when applicable.
- Create Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for marketing projects by coordinating with marketing stakeholders to gather relevant requirements and collaborating with legal, privacy and cybersecurity teams through to resolution.
- Facilitate privacy reviews for marketing & personalization use cases while ensuring timely responses to privacy concerns and oversee risk mitigation efforts including the suppression of marketing opt-outs to ensure compliance with company policies and privacy laws
- Support privacy rights requests pertaining to marketing systems to ensure timely and compliant responses in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support the activation of first-party data by ensuring that use cases comply with company policies and legal requirements, and monitor data usage to adhere to Privacy Impact Assessment requirements.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing
- ; or related field required or relevant equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of data governance, marketing analytics or data privacy experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks within a marketing environment
- Familiarity with data cataloging, classification, and metadata management
- Working knowledge of data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA
- Experience with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and managing privacy rights requests
- Experience in coordinating efforts across multiple departments
