JOB SUMMARY:
The Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the implementation of Team Member community engagement efforts with a focus on the Volunteer Program and Club 52, Workplace Giving Program, and Matching Gift Program. The Community Relations Coordinator will support the Team Member comp ticket donations and fulfillment, support Department communication efforts, and generate monthly reports on key program metrics. This position will also serve as a primary point of contact for Team Member inquiries and represent the Community Relations department at internal Team Member events.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support for the Volunteer Program by generating monthly participation reports, drafting communication, supporting annual UGive grant applications and fulfillment, responding to internal inquiries, presenting to groups at internal meetings and events, supporting volunteer event project management, coordinating volunteer opportunities.
- Provides support for the Workplace Giving Program to include assisting with annual campaign communication efforts, assisting with ongoing auditing and financial accounting need, responding to inquiries, and assisting with Team Member accounts, drafting weekly updates, and reporting, attending department events, and reviewing payroll reports.
- Support the Team Member Comp Ticket Donation Program to include reviewing Team Member comp ticket donation requests and vetting nonprofit organizations, responding to internal and external inquiries, and processing Team Member comp ticket donation voucher redemptions.
- Supports the company’s Matching Gift Program to include software support and testing, communication efforts, responding to internal inquiries and assisting with Team Member accounts, presenting to groups at internal meetings and events, and assisting with ongoing financial accounting needs.
- Supports needs related to UO Foundation events to include event logistic support, marketing, and communication efforts.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ year of experience in corporate philanthropy, human resources, employee relations, or non-profit organization.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Experienced with MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Some experience with volunteer management, employee engagement programs, or experience working/volunteering with local non-profit organizations.
- Effective relationship building skills with key partners and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and creative problem solver.
- Uses initiative and good judgment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Works independently with little supervision.
- Comfortability in presenting to groups.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
