JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for AutoCAD production for projects implemented by Entertainment Art & Design. Works closely with the Design Team to develop elevation drawing packages required to design and create themed environments for Marquee and/or Capital projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate computer-aided drafting AutoCAD equipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
  • Partner with Scenic Designers to produce drawing packages for the purposes of design and construction bids, including translating 3D SketchUp models into 2D architectural drawings
  • Work within UO standards, Art & Design processes and constraints, General Performance Specification, city codes and specifications, etc. in all design documents.
  • Follow drawing format as specified in the “HHN CAD Manual” for all Halloween projects as assigned
  • Provide as-builts for on-site locations, including in-field measurements as requested.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Degree or certificate preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 to 5 years: Experience in Architectural or Theatrical Design Required.
  • 1-3 years: Experience in Theme Park, Theatrical and Film environments.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Microsoft Excel required.
  • Computer drawing, and drafting skills required.
  • Knowledge of architectural drawing standards such as ground plans, sections, elevations, and details.
  • General knowledge of theatre stagecraft preferred.
