JOB SUMMARY:

Utilizes and analyzes large datasets of incident and claim data to identify and present trends, patterns, and anomalies to management and senior leaders to guide decisions on prioritizing, managing, and mitigating the company’s risks. This includes establishing reports and dashboards for quick access to risk information and establishing models and scenarios to project future risk to support management’s decisions about future operations and design considerations. The position is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring key risk indicators and metrics and escalating emerging risks to management as appropriate.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, maintains, and analyzes reports and dashboards regularly using data from incident reports and claims. Identifies and escalates risk trends and anomalies to the Director of Risk Management.
  • Monitors key risk indicators and metrics to track the company’s risk exposure over time and prepares reports and presentations to provide to departments that summarizes key findings, trends, and recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborates with internal partners to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies based on analysis provided. Tracks and monitors data after risk mitigation strategies are implemented to determine effectiveness.
  • Prepares departmental reports and other reports as requested other departments.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ Years of experience in working with large datasets, performing statistical analysis, and report development. Knowledge and experience using Excel, Power BI, or similar programs to manage and visualize data is required. Experience working in hospitality or theme parks is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Excellent analytical skills required to include an understanding of statistical methods and analysis.
  • Ability to evaluate quantitative data and convert it into actionable information.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel required and advanced skill of Excel is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues around data quality and integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and projects.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
