JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for training Ride & Show Technicians to properly perform preventative maintenance and inspections on all aspects of the attractions and venues they maintain. Responsible for the development, delivery, facilitation and measurement of training within assigned area of responsibility to include operational, ride recovery and safety. Maintains ownership of on-the-job training programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate and monitor the progress of all preventative maintenance, inspection, theory of operation, and ride recovery training needed for an area of responsibility including performing one-on-one training of all technicians to PQS manual requirements.
- Researches, designs and develops new training programs and materials. Responsible to identify new or changing training requirements and develop a training program to meet them. Responsible to identify training requirements for troubleshooting, standard operating procedures, engineering changes, and root cause failure analysis support.
- Administration and tracking of all maintenance training required and received. Communicates status and deficiencies to area supervisors. Maintains training records of all technicians within area of responsibility.
- Coordinate all outside training with area of responsibility. Keeps abreast of current and future technology to ensure efficiency in training programs.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Responsible for coordination, tracking, and training of all technicians within specific area of responsibility.
EDUCATION:
- Associate’s degree (AA) from a two-year college or university in Engineering or Technical Field or related.
- Bachelor’s degree: Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years of field experience at equivalent skill level (show control or mechanic) required
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Ability to attain and maintain the following certifications within an agreed upon at hire timeframe:
- NAARSO Level 1
- Crane Operator Train the Trainer
- Crane Inspector Train the Trainer
- Advance Flame Effects Train the Trainer
- Valid Florida Driver’s License/ required to operate company vehicles
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Approximately 1 year of field training (average 3 months per venue) in order to become familiar with all P.M.’s and inspections; must complete in-house and vendor training qualifications per area of responsibility.
