JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Park Services powered equipment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting down to failed component for repairs to all small engine equipment according to manufacturer’s factory specifications. Equipment includes – but not limited to –pressure washers, scrubbers, hoses, generators, sandman, street vacuums,
carpet vacuums, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, wet vacs, resort wide hand dryers, and maid carts.
- Checking with Leads daily to ensure equipment is functioning properly and addressing any concerns they have in a timely manner. Responds to downtimes and recovery related issues such as hose repair, pressure washer failure, general equipment defects, and emergency chemical spills (oil, paint, hydraulic fluid, etc).
- Provides input and entry into Mechanic Log of completion of P.M. inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made, and lists applicable parts used. Documents all findings and worked performed throughout the process of troubleshooting and performing repairs. Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures all regulated waste is disposed of in appropriate containers.
- Maintains an inventory of the most commonly used parts and orders replacements with the Park Services’ Coordinators. As needed, research replacement parts from appropriate vendors.
- As required, performs job duties of Park Services Attendant. This includes but not limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming
- Disinfecting high touch points (such as counters, tables, door handles, elevator buttons, stair handrails, etc.)
- Replenishing dispensers (such as paper products, soap, etc.) - Disinfecting toilets, sinks, and urinals
- Surface cleaning (such as baseboards, walls, glass, etc.)
- Emptying and relining waste receptacles with trash bags
- Maintaining exterior and interior cleanliness of waste receptacles
- Supports recycling initiatives through collection, sorting, processing, and baling efforts
- Dusting (such as vents, lights, stalls, etc.)
- Preparing and refilling chemical bottles
- Cleaning stainless fixtures and mirrors
- Accurately completing daily logs
- Stocking cleaning supplies, paper products, etc.
- Operating trash compactor and cardboard baler
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High School degree or GED required. Technical School preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE: 3+ years advanced knowledge of ongoing maintenance and repair of small engines and cleaning equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
