JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager has the overall responsibility to successfully execute a comprehensive program curriculum to support the growing needs for early careers at UDX. Responsible for creating early careers programming that encourages professional development, networking, and brand recognition. Responsible for leading strategic collaboration among internal departments, college/university partners, and external vendors. Inclusive of leading program timelines and milestones, project management responsibilities, and managing and developing direct reports.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new, exciting, cutting edge, and scalable curriculum for UDX early careers ensuring program quality and continuous improvement. Strategize and implement process improvements and efficiencies for all aspects of the early career program curriculum; including technology gaps, managing resources and documenting processes to achieve deliverables.
  • Act as a Liaison between Comcast and NBCU partners to leverage best practices and identify synergies between corporate entities to ensure consistency and alignment. Responsible for working closely with HR business partners, early career program hiring managers, and key stakeholders to provide immersive learning experiences.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with educational institutions and applicable business organizations to build a pipeline of future talent; facilitate presentations to internal and external groups in an engaging and informative manner.
  • Provides leadership and development support for direct reports related to their growth, workload management, and training. Coach and direct team to achieve maximum results.
  • Monitor, audit and track program metrics and initiatives. Analyze metrics and evaluate results to suggest and implement targeted solutions based upon current workforce trends.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years progressive experience in managing HR programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong Interpersonal and relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize activities with the drive, energy and follow-through necessary to achieve results while thriving in a rapid-paced, changing business environment.
  • Excellent project management and event planning skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and handle many tasks simultaneously, often with inflexible tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal clients and external vendors both verbally and in writing.
  • Tact/diplomacy and confidentiality to handle sensitive information and Team Member interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and consistently accurate.
  • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook) required.
