JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Global Internal Communications is an experienced communications professional who is an essential part of the team working to shape and implement Universal Destinations & Experiences’ (UDX) overall corporate communications strategy, tactics, and content creation for our global Team Members. This role plays a key role in shaping the perception of the company as an Employer of Choice, developing and writing key internal communications and content, including executive communications, while also aggregating UDX content from various Destinations and Divisions and our parent division, Comcast NBCU, ensuring brand, voice, and IP standards are represented accurately.

The Senior Manager will help the team develop high impact communications campaigns and content that have clearly stated objectives and outcomes, craft narratives and key messages used to convey the company’s various initiatives, write and edit scripts, help concept video, research and lead appropriate employer-related award submissions all designed to further position UDX as a global employer of choice, a premium destination for our guests and visitors world-wide, an industry leader and disruptor, and a strong community citizen and good neighbor.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Strategy and Development- Develop and execute Global Internal Communication strategies to support corporate initiatives, including but not limited to executive communications, company-wide initiatives, corporate content development including writing and editing scripted content, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) messaging, and corporate-level communication to our global Team Members. Closely partner with the UDX Corporate Communications team to identify global stories that can translate to external platforms. Have proven experience supporting senior level executives at internal events, including preparing messaging, briefing books, related content.
  • Internal Comms Channel Strategy and Platform Development - Support reimagining of internal communications platforms and strategy, in partnership with Director, Global Internal Communications. Develop plan and recommended approach for a UDX level global publications and content. Contribute to the roll out of company-wide employer brand, develop creative and compelling content: video, photos, digital and written in support of UDX’s Internal Communications programming. Seeks to assess, understand, and leverage new technology and evolving communication methods to identify best practices and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Client and Stakeholder Partnerships - Partner with stakeholders, project managers, internal clients, and groups to help craft global messaging and ensure all visual assets and presentation of news and editorial content meets communication goals. Proactively build relationships across locations to promote alignment, identify storytelling opportunities and feed those into established editorial planning forums, including global editorial calendar.
  • Leadership, Infrastructure and Logistical Support - Provides leadership, management support, department planning, logistics, systems, and processes. Oversees development of direct reports and functional subject matter experts as identified, ensuring that they have the skills necessary to provide a consistent delivery of performance.
  • Measurement & Analysis – Establish KPIs for associated efforts and monitor comms effectiveness to constantly improve impact. Evaluates and monitors data (email, social media, web platforms; survey results, etc.) and develops actions plans to address the analysis. Identify opportunities to increase the capture of metrics to further enhance the analysis of the impact of our messaging.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of experience with PR/Communications/Internal Communications and web tools like Muck Rack, Cision and WordPress is preferred.
  • Experience managing thought leadership publishing platforms (i.e., LinkedIn, SharePoint) is preferred.
