JOB SUMMARY:

As directed by leadership team, this position is responsible for conducting thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations of workplace misconduct, including by not limited to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, workplace violence, and other policy violations. This role ensures that all investigations are conducted in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, conduct, and document detailed and unbiased investigations into Team Member complaints and allegations. Gather relevant information, interview involved parties, and review pertinent documents and records.
• Review cases for consistency and calibration. Analyze case data regularly to build metrics and provide trends to HR Business Partners and Operations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigations and employee relations matters. Ensure documentation is complete, secure, and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Regularly partners with Legal, HR Business Partners, and NBCU Fair Employment Practices on a variety of sensitive matters.
• Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent and fair handling of employee relations matters. Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on policy-related issues.
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for resolution. Present findings to management and other stakeholders as needed. Ensure investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies. Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry best practices.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, or Business Administration is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of progressive Employee Relations experience, including experience conducting investigations required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with labor unions preferred.
