JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving, towing, guiding and supporting Parade Floats.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely drive float units weighing up to 26,000lbs. Safely maneuver obstacles both back stage and onstage. Adhere to predetermined driving locations, paths and speeds while maintaining communication and direction.
• As needed, assist with towing other float units, driving back stage and onstage, loading and unloading of characters and guests. Assist with props and technical systems readiness.
• Operate technical equipment, such as on board show control, communications, audio, lighting, video and special effects.
• Provide logging of technical performance/show quality, detailed examples for maintenance personnel. Performing small projects and modifications to systems as directed by UO Management.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High school degree or GED: Required

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Preferred 2-4 years previous customer/guest interaction experience.
• Preferred experience driving large vehicles.
• Preferred experience using audio, lighting and special effects equipment.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
