These could include working in various climate conditions, standing for long periods, and in noisy environments. The working hours are unique, often covering weekends and holidays, plus evenings. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of an overall Marketing & Sales plan, marketing for trade segments, and local partnerships that drive awareness and demand for Universal Kids Resort (UKR). Focused on the local and regional market to establish and maintain strong marketing and sales plans and incentive programs. Partners with key UDX Marketing & Sales teams and Operations departments to support cross-departmental planning to ensure alignment with all origins and segments to elevate the presence and positioning of Universal Kids Resort, local partnerships, and campaigns.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops strategic marketing and sales plans to drive local and regional market initiatives for marketing campaigns, sales and pricing optimization, evolving trade segment partnerships, and developing incentive programs. Implements sales initiatives that drive attendance, repeat visitation, special event buyouts, brand loyalty, and seasonal activations throughout the year. Champions voice of the consumer to ensure the understanding of guest needs and behaviors is at the center of special market strategies and programs.
  • Leads and partners collaboratively to develop strategic and comprehensive marketing communication plans ensuring there is a consistent and cohesive messaging strategy that aligns with overall objectives and goals. Identifies and implements initiatives that develop and strengthen positioning of UKR to drive interest and increase revenues for new business model. Responsible for maintaining the UKR brand, following all local marketing and sales requirements for ticket and hotel revenue, discounts and partnerships.
  • Collaborates by seeking and leveraging partner input in the development of strategic direction for UKR sales initiatives, including both the theme park and hotel. Ensures alignment with UDX Portfolio and New Ventures M&S team, Insights, Licensed Partners, Product Development and Pricing to deliver against business objectives. 
  • Monitors and measures Marketing & Sales performance, identifying areas of improvement and efficiency and directs activation through cross-functional teams. Provides UKR program status updates and communication to help throughout all levels of the organization to stay connected and informed on risks and localization efforts.
  • Develops campaign performance measurements and look back assessments; maintains ongoing business tracking as necessary. Maintains ROI metrics on all marketing initiatives to ensure we are meeting business objectives and makes changes as necessary to changing business demands.
  • Oversees and manages the budget, monitors, and tracks monthly expenditures, analyzing monthly/quarterly financial reports, reviewing and approving invoices through internal accounting systems. Reports and analyzes budget pacing as needed.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Supervises both Exempt and Non-Exempt team members.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Will require some domestic travel for business needs.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is required. MBA is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior marketing and sales roles in the Travel & Resort Industry, Entertainment, Hospitality, Tourism; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
