Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Communications & Integration intern will assist leadership in creating and executing internal communication strategies to increase connectivity and understanding across teams globally in the Digital & Technology group. By helping with the communication and integration strategy, the intern will learn the ins and outs of internal communication and executive support as well as grow interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares communication tactics that support the broader Digital Technology team through town halls, weekly updates, video support, email newsletters, leadership meetings, team initiatives, and more.
  • Supports ongoing Digital & Technology initiatives such as Executive Roundtables, Planning Events, Onboarding/Orientation, and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Digital & Technology SharePoint site.
  • Partners with the Sr. Manager, Communications & Integration with executive support that may require design & communications efforts.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Preferred majors include: Journalism, Communications, Mass Communications, Strategic Communications, or similar.
  • Background with writing and proofreading.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Video Design.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.

Please note the following:

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
