JOB SUMMARY:

Provide support to the Art Manager assigned to Art and Design Projects. Responsible set dressing and props for the set or location. Executing the prep, install, strike, restock for that project under the guidance of the Décor Lead, Art Supervisor and/or Art Manager.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set Dresses and creates props each project assigned. Responsible in assisting Art Manager in setting up décor and props for our marquee projects. Helps execute with a team - the project from prep, install, strike, and restock.
  • Expected to accomplish tasks as directed by Décor Lead, Art Supervisor or Art Manager that supports the team mission with supervision after direction is given. Responsible to meet all deadlines.
  • Facilitates and troubleshoots with accountability for completion of the design intent from Décor Lead, Art Supervisor, Art manager and Scenic Designer. Basic knowledge of hand tools, sewing equipment, and a basic idea of creating the scene from treatments.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years’ experience within the assigned discipline required.
  • Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in Art and Design preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Sewing, use of hand tools, prop fabrication, painting a plus.
  • Driving a van or truck. Capable of decorating a scene with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Decorating scenes for various projects.
  • Coordinating the crews to execute prep, install, strike, restock for that project
