JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, scheduling, procuring materials and outside services for the successful operation of the Annual Cycle Program and scheduled preventative, predictive maintenance and overall job planning for Universal Kids Resort’s Ride & Show Maintenance team. Leads the coordination of project planning, scheduling, interfacing with client groups, writing project scopes, and tracking all aspects for various design, fabrication, and installation. Manages all job plan updates and audits, ensuring data integrity and coordinates Maximo user training and support. Serves as an active participant in the Maximo change management process and manages all documentation related to part procurement and inventory.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the preventative and predictive maintenance and coordinates with Central Services to oversee the Annual Cycle Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure proper frequency and target completion to facilitate attraction schedules. Coordinates the planning of projects by writing detailed work procedures, reviewing and implementing in accordance with OEM manuals, Engineering, Quality Control, and ASTM requirements. Plans and organizes team activities and projects to include generating scopes of work, entering Emergency Add to Stock Requests, tracking all action items and ensuring all issues are resolved. Escalates planning and scheduling concerns to Ride & Show Management as needed.
- Maintains proper documentation including but not limited to: Discretionary Work Orders, Routine Work Orders, Quality Control reports, Engineering Change Notices, Document Creation Notices, temporary deviations, and key technical communications for Ride & Show Maintenance. Develops scope of work including schedule and budget details. Partners with engineering teams (either internal or third-party) to determine directives for hourly Technicians’ work and manufacturers for drawing and procedural updates.
- Manages and provides detailed scope of work, written procedures, budget, estimated time, material and resources needed to successfully complete Discretionary Work Orders and capital projects. Tracks all action items and ensures resources are assigned through completion of the projects, planning and scheduling workflows.
- Monitors, maintains, and promotes data integrity in Maximo through routine and non-routine audits, user training, and technical support. Creates and maintains Maximo reporting and compliance requirements as necessary.
- Ensures that work requests meet established standards for accuracy and clarity, clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper charge number (if applicable), proper authorization, and discusses details with originator of the work order.
- Tracks all correspondence between client groups, vendors and the Central Services team. Interfaces with Ride and Show, Document Control, Engineering (either internal or third-party) and Sourcing to ensure adherence to established processes and procedures. Assists with analyzing audit trends and work orders, generating purchase orders, and sustainment initiatives to maximize seasonal park closures.
- Provides support for seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives across Universal Kids Resort. Assists other operational departments during peak/off season periods.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- A valid Texas Driver’s License is required.

- To perform this job successfully, this individual should have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical/control systems.
- This individual must be able to develop a working knowledge and be able to work in and around all the Rides, Shows, and Water Play areas.
- Must have general awareness and foundational knowledge of industrial painting, fiberglass, machining, welding, precision sheet and ride vehicle maintenance and repair.

EDUCATION
- Technical school and/or Associate’s degree (AA) in General Education or Technology preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years experience in technical coordination and project management required, experience in theme park maintenance preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
