JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees the daily operation and support of Physical Security systems at Universal Kids Resort (UKR). Works independently in a fast-paced environment, to resolve complex system issues involving a diverse range of software applications and hardware configurations for all Physical Security Systems. Responsible for managing small to medium size technical projects, including gathering business requirements, tracking the status of multiple projects, and providing direction to both internal and external partners for resolution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the daily operation and support of Physical Security systems and hardware across Universal Kids Resort. Diagnoses and analyzes hardware and software issues, ensuring prompt and precise responses and minimizing downtime for critical Physical Security Systems. Tracks systems issues and reports root cause findings to Security leadership.
  • Guides technical security systems projects and enhancements from start to finish by providing direction to both internal partners and external vendors. Manages projects by scheduling work, entering necessary procurement requests, and monitoring work progress, ensuring timely completion of all project objectives. Provides regular project status updates to UKR and Security leadership and Universal Destinations & Experiences stakeholders for alignment across destinations.
  • Supports the development of contract requests with included schedule and budget details, submits and tracks permitting requests, receives services and products, and tracks documentation and project updates. Coordinates and facilitates payment by providing Finance partners with necessary documentation for timely payment of invoiced performance milestones or regularly scheduled fees.
  • Performs weekly scheduled systems checks and produces statistical reports for all supported systems. Analyzes, compiles, updates, and maintains data reporting using Excel, SmartSheet, and Power BI. Creates and maintains weekly system statistical reports and dashboards for all incidents and projects.
  • Supports business requirements gathering, defining, and documenting for implementation of system changes. Evaluates, tests, and provides recommendations on new technology to ensure department needs are met.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written.
  • Must be able to work independently and identify / resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Ability to organize and direct workflow as needed during the day.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and effectively present information for one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • CompTia IFT+ certification and/or Microsoft Certification are preferred.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of technology, enterprise systems, or security systems is required, experience in IT, networking or project management is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
