JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Director, Digital and Technology Transformation oversees execution of program management approaches and techniques to direct the scope, timelines, budgets, vendors, interdependencies, change management, and teams necessary for Digital & Technology (D&T) to deliver on its organizational excellence commitments. Leads efforts and activities in support of D&T transformation goals. Partners with internal stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, etc) to ensure compliance with company policies. Serves as an effective escalation point for informed and strategic PMO decisions and oversees consistent status reporting and executive input to the D&T senior leadership team in support of organizational excellence.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management
- Define the detailed plan, interdependencies and constraints necessary for the D&T division to achieve its transformation efficiency commitments.
- Oversee the procurement process for the identification and selection vendors and partners in support of transformation initiatives.
- Lead the onboarding and transition of selected vendors partners coordinating with D&T teams and 3rd party provider teams.
- Establish the tracking and reporting mechanism that measures progress towards D&T’s transformation goals.
- Oversee the identification and implementation of the end-to-end AI enabled tool set that improves delivery efficiency.
- Lead and participate in the end-to-end process definition of the D&T software and services delivery process.
- Identify and mitigate issues and risks that prevent progress against the D&T transformation efficiency goals. Where necessary, escalate to the appropriate SLT leader for mitigation and/or resolution.
- Establish and maintain the backlog of transformation ideas and their potential value applicable to obtaining additional value from D&T.
Change Management
- Work with SLT to identify and establish a change network that will assist in defining implementing and sponsoring the D&T transformation initiatives.
- Partner with the transformation change management team to create, review and finalize training materials (stakeholder decks, periodic communications, training artifacts, etc) that will be used to help drive adoption of the initiatives.
- Provide regular executive status reporting to the SLT and the D&T executive team on progress, next steps and necessary input.
Transformation Integration
- Consolidate and report the status of transformation initiatives and deliver executive and senior executive summaries weekly and as needed for the eTMO.
- Define, establish, implement and operate a monitoring process which will periodically review critical transformation initiatives for proper controls, critical issues, risks and other concerns that could delay the initiatives.
- Act as the moderator for D&T in eTMO forums ensuring 2-way communication of status, actions, critical issues and risks.
- Anticipate, create and manage the D&T/eTMO Transformation Plan on a two-quarter basis to identify and mitigate lead time items ensuring D&T is prepared to support the eTMO and business units in the UDX transformation.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Information Technology degree preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years in progressive transformation, technology enablement, innovation or marketing leadership.
- Expert knowledge of large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Experience program and project management approaches.
- Experience in project team leadership and large-scale program planning and implementation.
- Expert at stakeholder and partner management.
- Experience in senior executive communication relationship building and decision making.
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills, and be able to explain complex concepts both concisely and simply.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute strategic initiatives;
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
