JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing the overall daily operation within the Wardrobe & Costuming department at Universal Kids Resort (UKR) and assisting leadership with wardrobe inventory and laundry services. Ensures the excellent delivery of the Guest service experience for Team Members while ensuring quality controls and inquiries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors and oversees the daily operation of Wardrobe & Costuming to ensure proper staffing and Guest service standards are being met. Provides work direction to Team Members, responds to operational issues, and effectively communicates work tasks, performance, and expectations to team. Acts as first contact for Wardrobe & Costuming team and ensures laundry services standards are being met. Assists with partnering with vendors and suppliers for all laundry services for pick-up and drop-off of items.
• Ensures the safety of Team Members working within the department by reviewing and revising safety practices and procedures and responding to potentially unsafe conditions. Coaches and uses feedback forms to document and maintain safe Team Member actions in accordance with Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) policy. Ensures tools and resources are readily available for the seamless production of wardrobe to new hires, repairs, re-issuing pars, etc.
• Responsible for developing, coaching and training assigned Wardrobe & Costuming Team Members. Creates venue schedules for Assistant Manager approval. Monitors, tracks and records overtime and training projections and results. Mitigates overtime by adjusting staffing according to daily attendance projections and ensures efficient use of labor to meet budget. Analyzes and responds to various reports including but not limited to incident reports.
• Focuses on Team Member satisfaction. Ensures that each Team Member is meeting UDX service standards and assisting Guests while maintaining an efficient, safe and pleasant environment. Follows Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) and Guest Service (GSAT) initiatives and programs in place to keep the workplace fun while increasing overall job satisfaction and efficiency.
• Maintains positive relationships and partners effectively with other UKR departments to ensure that departmental goals are being met while maintaining UKR standards. Responsible for maintaining the quality, cleanliness and facility maintenance standards for work area at all times.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ years of dry cleaning, laundry management or operations experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
