AMC Graduate Assistant - Scrum Master Academic Media Center Moon Campus
The Robert Morris University (RMU) Academic Media Center (AMC) seeks a motivated organizational leader to serve as Scrum Master (SM), who guides and mentors project teams in student media, center operations, and institutional media production. The SM works with the AMC director (Lead Product Owner) to manage project backlogs and assists the staff leaders (Product Owners) in ensuring each development team follows effective practices. The SM also mentors and motivates the teams in improving their processes, facilitating decision-making, and helping eliminate barriers. This position includes training and certification in Agile Scrum.
RMU Radio - Music Manager Academic Media Center Moon Campus
The RMU Radio Music Manager is the student worker responsible for all the music operations of RMU-Radio, supporting hosts and producers and engaging both campus and local musicians on RMU Radio. The Music Manager also administers the radio playlist according to the needs of all Academic Media Center (AMC) student, staff, and faculty stakeholders, as well as RMU Radio's growing local and global audiences.
RMU Radio - Program Director Academic Media Center Moon Campus
The RMU-Radio Program Director is the student worker responsible for the day-to-day operations of RMU-Radio, engaging with all Academic Media Center (AMC) student, staff, and faculty stakeholders to provide access to this vital community resource. Working closely with the RMU Radio Graduate Assistant, the Radio Club, RMU TV and Sentry Media, as well as the staff Radio and Television Engineer, the Program Manager is responsible for program scheduling, host training, and radio events, as well as representing RMU Radio to the campus and wider student media communities.

The Department of Arts and Humanities is looking for a creative and motivated Student Assistant to help develop new learning experiences for the Academic Media Center (AMC) animation labs. Supported by a grant from the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Educators Forum, “Reframing Materials: Best Practices for Inclusive and Accessible Learning in an Interdisciplinary Animation Lab:” is a unique opportunity to develop transferable skills in both media technology and experience design. The Student Assistant will help conduct research in inclusive media pedagogy, develop self-guided learning materials, and share these with students and faculty, culminating in a community screening of animation work in Spring 2022.
AMC - Student Videographer Academic Media Center Moon Campus
The Academic Media Center (AMC) is looking for creative and motivated candidates to assist with video production on campus. The Student Videographer is responsible for providing media production support across a variety of platforms under the direction of the AMC staff Videographer. Productions include the opportunity to participate in student media and campus events (e.g. Colonial Theater), but also faculty research, narrative and documentary production. These positions will help prepare students for creative and technical careers in digital cinema and television, live event production (for sports and entertainment), and educational media. The Student Videographer may work more some weeks and less other weeks depending on departmental needs. Hours many vary per assignment and may involve evening or weekend hours.

Have you ever wanted to make a Podcast? The Academic Media Center is looking for student Podcast Producers to aid in the development, launch, and production of faculty-hosted podcasts for the university’s award-winning entirely student-run online radio station. The producer collaborates closely with the podcast host(s) to plan episodes, researching and inviting guests, and creating the production rundown. During recording, they manage the show and make sure everything runs smoothly. After recording, the producer collaborates with the RMU Radio Program Director to deliver the podcast across platforms, edit audio and video clips, and promote the podcast on social media

Have you ever wanted to make your own TV show? The AMC is looking for creative student leaders to develop and execute shows for the university’s award-winning, student-run TV station. An Associate Producer (AP) is integral to production for every show on RMU-TV: from news - RMU Live and RMU Focus - to Sports Talk in the Burgh and RMU Tonight, or even your own idea for a brand new show! Under the leadership of a student Producer, the AP works with a crew, staff, and industry mentors to write content, perform on the air, review and edit the show, delivering original content to audiences on and off campus.

The Robert Morris University (RMU) Academic Media Center (AMC) seeks a motivated and dynamic individual to serve as its Student Media - Graduate General Manager (GGM) for the 2022-23 academic year. The GGM supports the day-to-day operations of AMC's converged media platforms (especially RMU Radio and RMU TV) including scheduling, data-driven decision-making, and strategic project management (including revenue generating initiatives). The GGM also supports experiential learning and professional development for undergraduate student leaders, program participants, and work study students.
