Have you ever wanted to make a Podcast? The Academic Media Center is looking for student Podcast Producers to aid in the development, launch, and production of faculty-hosted podcasts for the university’s award-winning entirely student-run online radio station. The producer collaborates closely with the podcast host(s) to plan episodes, researching and inviting guests, and creating the production rundown. During recording, they manage the show and make sure everything runs smoothly. After recording, the producer collaborates with the RMU Radio Program Director to deliver the podcast across platforms, edit audio and video clips, and promote the podcast on social media
Responsibilities: Support the podcast host by conducting guest research, coordinating schedules and inviting guests
 Create the episode rundown (a cross between a script and topic checklist) and share with the host before recording
 Record, edit, and contribute to the development of the podcast content - No previous audio or video experience is required
 Perform basic audio engineering tasks such as mixing, and leveling the audio
 Perform video and audio editing tasks to clean up guest interviews
 Publish to Podbean (other podcasting platforms as required) 
 Include a clear and concise description of the episode topic and guests
 Share with RMU Sentry Media
 Represent and promote the podcast across AMC platforms and other RMU social media channels
 Provide show notes to the podcast host and RMU-Radio Program Director
 Submit episodes for award consideration to the AMC Director
 Be familiar with the AMC Student Media Handbook, upholding policies to ensure access to experiential media learning for all members of the RMU community

Minimum Qualifications:
No previous media experience is required. Professional training in podcasting, audio and video production will be provided. 
Academic Years Preferred: Any Academic Year Will Be Considered
Wage: 7.25
