Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time, dress in appropriate attire
- Clock in and out of all shifts
- Answer questions asked at front desk with excellent customer service - in person and over the phone
- Monitor turnstile use
- Oversight of day use lockers in lobby
- Look patrons up who have forgotten their UD ID
- Sales - Guest pass, membership, personal training, fitness classes, crossfit
- Check equipment in and out
- Make checks throughout the facility
- Enforce all facility rules and regulations
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies
- Wash, fold, and put laundry away (i.e. front desk towels, varsity swim towels, and employee laundry)
- Continue to uphold and maintain a positive image of the Carpenter Sports Building
- Assist the Building Supervisor with organizing and locking down areas at the end of the night
- Complete duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Operations and Staff Development
Required Qualifications:
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Ability to handle conflict
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and effectively work with a diverse population
- Must have a positive attitude, flexibility, be dependable, and commitment to teamwork
- Ability to communicate tactfully with patrons of the building
- A thorough understanding of the importance of “Little Bob Way”
