Job Title: Public Relations Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities:
  • Fully support the university’s PR strategy and execute it in different phases
  • Create and curate press releases
  • Communicate and build relationships with members of the university community
  • Effectively post announcements to MyQ
  • Assist in administrative duties
  • Build and update media lists and databases
  • Schedule, coordinate and attend various events
  • Perform research and market analysis activities
Qualifications:
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Extensive news writing experience
  • Strong knowledge of Associated Press style
  • Passion for media relations and best practices
  • Current enrollment in a graduate program. Journalism experience preferred.
Hours of Position:
  • 20 hours per week
  • Shifts will be scheduled between the hours of 9:00am ad 5:00pm
