Responsibilities:

Office Management and Front Desk Support: 

  • Managing Walk-Ins: Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.  
  • Phone & Email Communication: Answer incoming calls and respond to emails promptly and courteously. 
  • Guidance & Referrals: Offer accurate guidance on common questions and refer to the appropriate faculty or staff member.  

Administrative Support: 

  • Research & Data Collection: Conduct research as requested and compile findings into clear summaries or reports. 
  • General Office Tasks: Support daily operations by helping with filing, photocopying, supply inventory, and other clerical duties as assigned. 
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism: Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism in all administrative tasks. 

 Event Planning & Execution: 

  • Event Preparation: Assist in the logistical planning of School of Nursing events, including materials preparation, catering, and setup. 
  • On-Site Support: Provide hands-on assistance during events by helping with registration, welcoming attendees, managing supplies, and troubleshooting as needed. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with OISS staff and student leaders to ensure events are inclusive, well-organized, and aligned with the needs of the international student community. 
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student at Quinnipiac University in good academic standing 
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse populations. 
  • Experience with office tasks such as digital organization, data entry, scheduling, project-based researching and handling confidential information. 
  • Ability to assist with event planning, logistics, and on-site coordination 
  • Demonstrated leadership and professionalism  
  • Creativity and innovation to generate and implement novel solutions to complex challenges 
Hours of Position:

10-12 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. In office required (North Haven).
