Job Title:	School of Communications Content Creator

Responsibilities:	Attend events and set up shoots to gather photo and video for use in School promotion Create and maintain a shared archive so the media is available to multiple users Some design of social media posts using University approved design elements and templates may be involved Coordinate coverage from School calendar with SoC Communications & Outreach Assistant and the Dean’s Office
Qualifications:	Understanding of principles of video/ photo production, lighting, audio, framing, etc. Knowledge of various still and video camera technology, microphones, lights, tripods, etc Editing skills in the Adobe Suite
Hours of Position:	Variable, based on event schedules Average of 5 hours per week

The Dean’s Office in the School of Communications is seeking a student with skills in photography/videography, and photo and video editing to fill the position of Content Creator. Duties will include gathering photos and videos from various School events and organizing and editing them for use in School social media feeds. This person will coordinate with the SoC’s Communications and Outreach Assistant for social media posting. The successful applicant will have knowledge of various types of cameras, as well as skills in Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. Graphic design skills using Adobe Suite are a plus. Work hours will vary depending on event needs—flexibility around classes during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends may be necessary.
