POSITION
The Department of Economics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant Pool.
Assist faculty with evaluating student work and examinations, and other duties as assigned. Assist in the departmental office in providing guidance and information.
This is a pool of Instructional Student Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must be a currently enrolled graduate student.
Collect and organize student submissions made through hard copy, Canvas, and/or other digital submission facilities.
Read, evaluate, and assign grades to student work. Maintain and submit student grades.
Meet regularly with a faculty supervisor, in-person, by phone, or by email.
Meet deadlines defined by university policy and/or supervisor.
Assist administrative support coordinator and administrative assistant with clerical duties.
Complete student worker training as required.
Excellent computer skills including Canvas, Office, Excel and PowerPoint and other spreadsheet and data entry experience.
Type 40 CWAM and have a working knowledge of library and internet research.
Must have an excellent command of English – both oral and written
Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with large classes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Federal Work Study student
Graduate student in the Department of Economics

COMPENSATION
All Instructional Student Assistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Classification Range: $17.01 - $22.70 per hour

The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083, revised July 21, 2017, as a condition of employment.
