Classification Range $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

M-F, 8-5 pm and occasional after normal business hours and weekends

Job Summary

Provide basic clerical support to students, faculty and staff of the Department of Communications. Student hires can be utilized in various offices within the Department of Communications such as Daily Titan, Practical Advantage Student Agency (PRAD) and the Department of Communications main office.

-Assist with filing paperwork and data entry.
- Light typing of general forms or materials.
- Must be able to pay close attention to details in processing client documents.
- Updating Excel spread sheets.
- Assisting with event planning
- Distribution of mail
- Maintaining office supplies
- Communicate on a regular basis (online and in-person) with team members and potential clients
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

CSUF undergraduate student (COMM major preferred)
- Knowledge of graphic designing
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be accurate and have good organizational skills
- Hard Working/positive attitude
- Able to work up to 6 hours per week throughout the semester; hours scheduled to work will be arranged with faculty/supervisor

Required Qualifications

• All majors encouraged to apply
• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
