Classification Range $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $ 16.00.

Work Schedule

 Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule to be arranged by supervisor and employee. 

Job Summary

  Under direct supervision, the student assistant will support staff with performing duties such as ordering clinic supplies and parking permits, scheduling appointments, maintaining files, providing troubleshooting support for the clinic, video-/audio-recording equipment and observation room sound system, and check-in and check-in materials. The student will help maintain a clean and welcoming clinic lobby, workroom, and therapy room as well. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

 Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Students should have good interpersonal communication and social interaction skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and courteously and to use discretion with confidential materials.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU Fullerton will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Required Qualifications

 

• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.

Understanding of basic knowledge within the field related to communication disorders, development, assessment and treatment.

Be currently enrolled in CSUF’s COMD undergraduate or post-bac program and completed at least 4 courses in the major: a) 242, b) 307 and c) two of the following: 352, 461, 404, 465, 472, 474, 475, 476

Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in completed major coursework to date

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
