Job Summary

The Department of Communications and the College of Communications are looking for two graduate students to assist staff with developing communications materials to enhance external communications, student recruitment, and alumni outreach for the 2024-2025 academic year. One student assistant will be assigned to cover Department of Communications, while the other will cover the College Communications and its individual departments.

Duties will include:
-Create content for print, web, and social media projects
-Write and post stories and take photos for websites and newsletters
-Take photos and videos at special events
-Organize and collect media (photos, videos, archival materials)
-Assist in Interviews, gather, compile, and present data on a alumni, employers, and programs
-Assist in development-related projects
-Other clerical support duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Hard Working / positive attitude
- Able to work up to 20 hours per week as needed.
- Must be available during hours of 9-5 pm, Monday-Friday (with some evening or weekend
hours for special events)

Required Qualification

 -CSUF graduate student with expertise/interest in communications/public relations/advertising/marketing/graphic design.

-Experience with social media marketing, content creation, and posting.
-Experience with website marketing, content creation and assisting as needed.
-Experience with design for print, email, social media, and the web.
-Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
-Able to work up to 20 hours per week as needed, including some evenings and rare weekend events.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act Notification:
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the current Annual Security Report (ASR) is available for viewing at: https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. This report contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for California State University, Fullerton for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the CSUF Police Department.

 

Notice of Availability of the Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR)
In addition, pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the AFSR is also available at https://hr.fullerton.edu/risk-management/clery-act/. The purpose of this report is to disclose statistics for fires that occurred within California State University, Fullerton housing facilities for the last three (3) calendar years, and to distribute fire safety policies and procedures intended to promote safety on campus. A paper copy of the AFSR is available upon request by contacting the Housing Office located at The Housing & Residential Engagement Main Office.
