Work Schedule
During Business Hours 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, in person. Work schedule is 10-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during winter and summer breaks.
Job Summary
Under direct supervision, Student Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized, in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual, clerical, public contact, and/or analytical skill.
AHR Student Assistant will assist with general clerical/administrative work, answer phone calls and inquiries, and assist with projects under direct supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. Must be able to hold confidentiality to a higher standard.
Required Qualifications
Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
Student must be able to work Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Background Check
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
