Position Summary:        

Adjunct Faculty to teach all subjects in the social work curriculum either online, face to face and/or hybrid.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses as scheduled
  • Access student work and provide timely feedback
  • Communicate concerns regarding student participation, comportment, and performance with program director
  • Use Canvas (Learning Management System) to support the course

Experience & Educational Background:

A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited social work program; a DSW or a Ph.D. in Social Work or a doctoral degree in a related field (preferred); strong potential for excellence in teaching (classroom and on-line), and an ability to teach research (quantitative, qualitative, statistics and practice research).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Asynchronous and Synchronous online teaching experience
  • Work experience that includes competencies, skills and knowledge levels required for social work instruction
  • Minimum+ experience with CANVAS learning management system
  • Demonstrated expertise in social work knowledge and clinical practice
  • Manage the learning environment through effective record-keeping, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing WSSW’s academic, code of conduct, and attendance policies
  • Exhibit a commitment to promoting academic excellence in students
  • Is punctual and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks
