Position Summary:       

The Admissions and Enrollment Strategist role is a part-time permanent position. The position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. The Enrollment Strategist serves as a member of Cardozo’s Admissions Committee and is an integral member of the Admissions Enrollment Strategy team. This team member will review applications and make admissions decision recommendations to the Associate Dean of Admissions. The Strategist will attend weekly Admissions Strategy meetings with senior leadership and will work closely with the Associate Dean of Admissions to meet enrollment goals.

Position Responsibilities:

• As an active and integral member of the Admissions Strategy team, this employee will attend weekly meetings with the Dean of the law school, the Senior Associate Dean of Finance, members of the senior Admissions team, and the Admissions Committee faculty. This team member will work closely with the Associate Dean of Admissions to develop an enrollment model and meet enrollment goals.
• In evaluating candidates for admission, potential and aptitude for completing our rigorous program of study, and subsequent successful Bar admission are key criteria. Must have sound judgment and be able to consider and weigh all information presented in a law school application in order to make a sound recommendation. Factors that are considered include prior academic performance, standardized test scores (LSAT or GRE), extracurricular activities, volunteer and work experience, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. Graduate work, professional background, internships, research experience, and students’ experiences are also evaluated.
• Must be able to work independently. Sound judgment is required; this person will serve on the Cardozo Admissions Committee and will regularly make recommendations to the Associate Dean regarding the possible admission of applicants.

Experience & Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Preferred J.D. or advanced degree and 10 years of professional experience.

Skills & Competencies:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Computer expertise and proficiency in Excel is required.

Salary Range:

$35.00 - $35.00 per hour
