Position Summary:

Yeshiva University is seeking its first Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness, a key leadership position responsible for understanding and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of both the academic and administrative units of the organization. This role is responsible for training, consulting on, and supporting stakeholders in the use of institutional effectiveness practices, including accreditation compliance, assessment and planning, across the university and its academic and administrative divisions.
Reporting to the Provost while collaborating with direct reports to both the President and the Provost, the Vice President works on matters relating to institutional effectiveness and accreditation accountability across both academic and operational units and departments, including programmatic assessment, program review, internal surveys, and data analyses. In this hands-on leadership role, the incumbent will leverage expertise to standardize accreditation compliance, quality, effectiveness, and accountability strategies and processes across Yeshiva University.

Position Responsibilities:
|
- Serves as the Chief Quality Officer of Yeshiva University
- Designs, staff, and leads an integrated and holistic Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE), leveraging and partnering with existing human resources and expertise across YU, hiring new staff as appropriate, and supervising directly or through a dotted line relationship all institutional research, assessment, accreditation, and professional development roles and functions at the university.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders throughout Yeshiva University to establish a consistent, comprehensive and effective approach to institutional effectiveness, including (1) data collection, analysis, and reporting of internal and external quality indicators and benchmarks to stakeholders, including assessment of teaching, learning, and administrative outcomes (2) federal, state, and accreditation compliance at the institutional, specialized and program level, and (3) providing professional development on effectiveness and accreditation compliance to faculty and staff.
- Provides consultation and support to the President and Provost on institution-wide projects and initiatives, as requested.
- Oversees the accurate and timely completion and submission of surveys and documents for external reporting entities related to accreditation, federal and state mandated reporting, and third-party educational quality organizations.
- Collaborates regularly with Information Systems as well as academic and administrative leaders to establish and update policies, and enforce data security and management, with a focus on creation and distribution of timely, accurate reporting tools.
- Provides oversight for access to and appropriate, ongoing use of data in support of informing strategic initiatives and decisions. Actively grow the abilities and skills of the university in using data to measure attainment of mission, strategic and learning goals.
- Develops organizational competency in principles and application of accreditation compliance and institutional effectiveness.

Experience & Educational Background:
|
An earned doctorate in a discipline that incorporates data analysis and applied social science research methods, such as statistics, psychology, sociology, economics, or education.

Skills & Competencies:
|
- A minimum of ten years of full time, demonstrated, progressively responsible experience in higher education administration at one or more institution(s) accredited in the United States, with a focus on some combination of institutional research, assessment, strategic planning, or organizational improvement is required.
- A minimum of ten years of demonstrated experience leading, organizing, and supporting institutional accreditation, including Self-Study, annual updates, and responding to any out-of-cycle reporting requirements.
- Excellent time management, analytic, communication and presentation skills, as well as high emotional intelligence.
- Teaching experience at the college or university level is a plus.

$165,000-$175,000
