Position Summary:       

The Admissions Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students, supporting recruitment and admissions processes. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel with the goal of communicating accurate information about the University.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in recruitment events and visit high schools, as required.
  • Manage a defined recruitment territory while building relationships with school administrators, delivering presentations, and representing the University at school visits, fairs, and outreach events (both in-person and virtual).
  • Conduct admissions interviews (including honors) and maintain ongoing communication with prospective students and families throughout the application process, through enrollment.
  • Check for accuracy on all submissions and proactively perform outreach to applicants regarding incomplete information or documents.
  • Support student recruitment and participate in the admissions events both on and off campus such as evening parlor meetings and open house events.
  • Coordinate faculty visits and special events for feeder schools and campus visitors.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails and meet with prospective students and families.
  • Greet visitors to the Admissions office and direct them appropriately.

 

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 2-3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Yeshiva University's undergraduate dual curriculum and student experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of higher education administration and practices preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including public speaking skills and enthusiasm for Yeshiva University.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with peers, students, and external contacts.
  • Proactive in addressing issues and following through to resolution.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, time management skills.

 

Salary Range:

$66,300 - $67,000
