Position Responsibilities:
|
Associate Professor responsibilities and expectations:
- Developing and maintaining program of research
- Mentoring PsyD students in doctoral-level research
- Graduate teaching
- Clinical supervision
- Responsibilities also include overseeing the school-clinical child program for a minimum of three years, with the option to renew
Program Director responsibilities:
- Setting the program’s mission and academic standards, managing curriculum updates, and developing new initiatives to maintain competitiveness
- The role involves extensive administrative oversight—scheduling courses, managing budgets, supervising teaching assistants, coordinating with university offices, and leading faculty meetings
- The Director ensures compliance with national and state regulations, liaises with accrediting bodies such as the APA, and prepares accreditation reports and self-studies
- They also manage faculty recruitment, evaluation, and development, as well as student admissions, progress, evaluations, and grievances
- Additional duties include maintaining alumni relations, external training partnerships, public relations, and serving on the Academic Leadership Team with the Dean and Provost to align program and institutional goals
