Position Summary:      

Yeshiva University seeks an energetic and detail-oriented emerging professional to join our Institutional Advancement team as a Development Associate. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn the field of fundraising and development. The Development Associate will provide essential support across a variety of projects, working closely with the development team, assisting with events, and contributing to donor engagement and office operations. 

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in development, donor relations, and event management in a supportive, mission-driven environment with opportunities for professional growth and mentorship. Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the development team. 
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of donor events and fundraising initiatives. 
  • Prepare donor correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in the donor database, ensuring timely updates and reporting. 
  • Support stewardship efforts, including acknowledgments and recognition activities. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department to advance fundraising goals and donor engagement. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the department, including some evening events.  

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with donor databases a plus. 
  • Commitment to professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. 
  • A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for learning and growing in the field of development. 

Salary Range:

$29.75 - $31.85 per hour
