Position Summary:       

The Yeshiva University Campaign Director will play a central role in advancing the University’s comprehensive campaign by managing its planning and execution, with early emphasis on guiding the initial phase. Working closely with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the University President, and senior leadership, this role will lead key stakeholders in the creation of the campaign plan, including the case statement and case for support, establishing a clear and cohesive framework for the campaign.

The Director will ensure alignment across institutional priorities, coordinate key stakeholders, and drive progress toward campaign goals through a disciplined and collaborative approach.

Position Responsibilities:

Campaign Strategy & Early-Phase Leadership
Lead the development of the comprehensive campaign plan, including articulation of priorities, campaign goals, and timelines; convene key players to ensure the anchoring components of the campaign are in place

Coordination & Execution
Translate campaign strategy into coordinated action across academic and administrative units, aligning stakeholders and ensuring steady progress toward key milestones. Establish clear workstreams, timelines, and accountability; ensure key deliverables are completed and momentum is sustained.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Align senior leadership, academic partners, lay leadership and advancement teams around campaign priorities; ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and next steps.

Performance Monitoring
Establish campaign metrics and track progress against goals, adjusting strategy and communicating updates to leadership as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with development, advancement services, and communications to ensure an integrated, institution-wide campaign approach.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in fundraising and strategic planning, preferably in higher education
  • Demonstrated experience in campaign planning or execution, including goal-setting and case development
  • Strong project management capabilities and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and timelines
  • Experience building and managing volunteer leadership structures
  • Knowledge of major gift fundraising principles and donor cultivation strategies
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and institutional leadership

  • This is a senior-level position requiring discretion, strategic thinking, and the ability to work effectively with the institution's most important stakeholders and donors.

Salary Range:

$150,000 - $200,000
