The College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS) is the largest and most diverse academic unit of the University of Denver, where students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed at nearly any career in today’s globally connected society. Half of the College’s departments and schools offer master's or PhD programs. 

Position Summary

The Enrollment Services Manager focuses on several aspects of enrollment management for both prospective and current students, including managing the scheduling process, supporting prospective graduate student recruitment and admissions, and providing student services. This position is a member of the CAHSS Enrollment Management team and reports to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management.   They work closely with the Associate Dean of Student Success to manage internal scheduling processes. They also provide graduate student recruitment and admissions support to CAHSS departments based on individual departments’ needs.

Essential Functions

Scheduling and Curriculum Support:

  • Supervise a team of 3 enrollment coordinators who support departments with their course scheduling and monitor for accuracy and adherence to University and CAHSS scheduling policies and deadlines to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Oversee multiple timelines related to scheduling and support team members to liaison between departments and registrar’s office regularly to ensure consistent and well-managed scheduling process.
  • Monitor low-enrolled courses each quarter; send information to department chairs and staff regarding enrollments.
  • Manage other scheduling- and curriculum-related data tracking and projects using Excel, including common curriculum tracking, requesting and/or compiling data from Institutional Research and Banner as needed, and compiling and monitoring FSEM schedule information for coordination with central offices.
  • Use Banner, Excel, Executive Dashboard regularly to extract reports, compile and analyze data, and enter data into records.
  • Make recommendations and implement changes to improve the scheduling process as appropriate. Ensure that scheduling processes are documented adequately, and that the documentation is updated regularly.
  • Contribute to graduate student quarterly headcount reporting, including reconciling enrollment discrepancies and analyzing student records.
  • Serve as College expert for Banner and Executive Dashboard reporting questions related to scheduling and curriculum.
  • Support common curriculum allocations process; prepare memos for departments.
  • Manage summer program, including compiling schedule listings, communicating with faculty, overseeing course promotion, creating schedule flyers and distributing as needed, monitoring enrollments, and reporting progress to college leadership.
  • Monitor course enrollment caps with Registrar during both scheduling and registration.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve expertise in enrollment management best practices and in technical skills to support enrollment management.

Current Student Services:

  • Assist graduate directors with program navigation and provide policy expertise regarding current students, per university policies.
  • Train staff as needed regarding current student forms and policies.
  • Support Associate Dean in working with Student Ambassadors Team
  • Work with CAHSS Director of Marketing and Communications on engagement opportunities for current students.
  • Support Associate Dean in organizing workshops and events (such as the graduate thesis workshop).
  • Communicate and collaborate with various University central departments (e.g., Registrar, Graduate Education, Financial Aid, Career Services). Represent CAHSS at some central meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient using computer/technological solutions, including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, customer relationship management (CRM) software or other databases, etc.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, including collecting, organizing, evaluating, and/or interpreting data in various forms.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to write effective student recruitment correspondence and internal communication, and to effectively present information in training settings.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural pool of students and applicants.
  • Ability to work with diverse and underrepresented populations, using an inclusive approach.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience related to enrollment management or recruitment/admissions processes and/or providing support in an academic area, or relevant transferable skills/experience.
  • Experience working with data sets and/or working with a CRM.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework addressing data analysis, and/or master’s degree or graduate coursework.
  • Experience in a university area relevant to the job duties, preferably in the arts, humanities and/or social sciences.
  • Experience using Slate and/or Banner.
  • Experience working with multiple components of a CRM – entering and extracting data, building and extracting reports, using dashboards, organizing data, troubleshooting and QCing output of data.
  • Proficiency in two or more languages.

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment.
  • Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate
  • As this position will support departments across the College, individual(s) must be willing to meet with stakeholder at locations across campus.

Physical Activities

  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to sit or stand in front of a room for an extended period of time.
  • Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Salary Grade

The salary grade for this position is 9.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $58,000-$68,000

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
