The College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS) is the largest and most diverse academic unit at the University of Denver, where students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed at nearly any career in today’s globally connected society. Position Summary
CAHSS is hiring one (1) Recruitment & Admissions Manager to support all recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts for the graduate programs in CAHSS. The Manager will also support undergraduate recruitment and retention efforts in partnership with the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, the Manager will work closely with the Enrollment Management team, Department Chairs and with faculty undergraduate & graduate directors within academic departments.
Essential Functions
Admissions and Recruitment Management
- Manage Slate functions for the College, including advising faculty and staff on best practices for CRM use.
- Coordinate with departments to submit graduate admissions decisions and financial aid offers in Slate.
- Utilize Slate to maintain inquiry and applicant database, including managing student records, monitoring admissions workflows, building and sending email campaigns and other outreach, building and sending reports.
- Coordinate lead generation efforts via list purchases and outreach.
- Partner with Digital Marketing Analyst on follow up to prospective students, as appropriate.
- Actively contribute to developing and implementing new methods of outreach and engagement with prospective students.
- Collaborate with departments and central offices to organize annual recruitment activities and outreach.
- Provide support to department undergraduate & graduate directors on admissions and recruitment-related projects, as directed.
- Coordinate and participate in the development and creation of recruitment materials.
- Support research projects related to recruitment and admissions, such as gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information about competitor programs.
- Understand and adhere to admissions guidelines.
- Review and approve dean’s hours and GXA awards when ED is out of office.
- Supervise admissions & recruitment coordinators.
Support for Prospective Students
- Follow up on leads resulting from individual inquiries and from marketing/recruitment efforts.
- Support undergraduate admissions with events such as Journey to DU and Friday@DU.
- Provide campus tours for graduate students and coordinate class visits as needed.
- Assist prospective graduate students and faculty with all application related questions.
- Administer surveys, including building, sending, data gathering, and reporting.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or graduate coursework.
- 3+ years of experience working in an office, professional, or military setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of administrative experience in an office, professional, or military setting.
- Experience working with college/university admissions; preference for current/prior experience in CAHSS.
- Experience with content writing for marketing initiatives.
- Experience working with Technolutions Slate, Ellucian Banner, or other CRMs.
Working Environment
- Standard office environment.
- Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
- Noise level is quiet to moderate
- As this position will support departments across the College, individual(s) must be willing to meet with stakeholder at locations across campus.
Physical Activities
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
- Ability to sit or stand in front of a room for an extended period of time.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $58,000-$68,000
