About the role:
In this role, located at the Potato Shed in Drysdale, you will provide exemplary customer service via the box office, bar and kiosk, and ensure the venue is clean, safe, well maintained and welcoming to visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake bookings, box office, bar and kiosk service during performances and events.
  • Understand, adopt and comply with all emergency and health and safety policies and procedures as set out in the Potato Shed Emergency Management Procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of the venue and season program and an understanding of the key partners Bellarine Secondary College, St Ignatius College and City of Greater Geelong.
  • Undertake basic administration tasks as required.
  • Set-up or assist with set up of rooms for events / functions.
  • Ensure centre environment meets cleanliness and safety standards, including undertaking light cleaning when required.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in customer service, including the ability to resolve issues in a professional and positive manner.

Essential Experience:

  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to OH&S requirements and physically capable of moving staging/table and seating.
  • Ability to undertake basic administrative tasks and use computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the Potato Shed’s role in the local community and cultural sector.
  • Current Working with Children Check (employee).
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).

Desirable:

  • Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA).
