About the role
In this role, you will provide high-quality education and care within a service-based environment, working collaboratively with a team of Early Childhood Educators and allied professionals to deliver inclusive, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate programs that support the wellbeing and learning of children aged 0–12.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high-quality education and care in accordance with national regulations and frameworks, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate holistic educational programmes, including tailored support for children with additional needs, and structure learning environments to foster constructive play and interaction.
  • Engage collaboratively with families and communities, respecting cultural values and promoting shared decision-making to support children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to service philosophies, mentoring staff and students, and maintaining a professional and ethical approach.
  • Support administrative and operational functions, including programme documentation, resource management, and communication with the Service Manager/Director.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in early childhood education, a commitment to inclusive and high-quality care, and the ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Experience:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards it under approved conditions).
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training (HLTAID012), or willingness to complete within 30 days of employment.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development (ages 0–12).
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
  • Familiarity with the National Quality Framework, including the NQS and VEYLDF.
  • Proven ability to lead and evaluate educational programs.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety in early childhood settings.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate initiative, and adapt flexibly.
