About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technology Delivery Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of cutting-edge projects, leveraging Agile and Value Stream Methodology to maximise efficiency and value creation.

As our Technology Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end delivery process, from project initiation to successful implementation. Your expertise in Agile methodologies will ensure that our teams are empowered to adapt and respond swiftly to changing requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Furthermore, your proficiency in Value Stream Methodology will enable you to identify and optimise critical paths, eliminating bottlenecks and streamlining workflows to enhance overall productivity and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align strategic objectives with operational execution, driving tangible business outcomes and delivering unparalleled value to our stakeholders.

Classification: $144,000 plus Superannuation

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promote a customer first and best practices approach in the department to address challenges in delivering services to City’s customers and community. 
  • Lead and inspire Agile value stream development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Engage and build strategic networks and partnerships with key stakeholders internally and throughout the industry to drive collaboration.
  • Manage and balance the needs of key stakeholders to ensure department priorities are met and the advice and solutions meet customer expectations.
  • Provide subject matter or expert advice to the Directorate, ELT, and other leaders across the organisation.
  • Drive the strategic vision for technology delivery, aligning with overall business goals 
  • Champion Agile value stream methodologies and practices, ensuring teams consistently follow Agile value stream principles and ceremonies.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have significant Professional experience in technology delivery leadership role with a focus on agile methodologies.

Essential Experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and or significant professional experience in a comparable organization at least 6 years or more.
  • Extensive knowledge of standards and practices related to SAFe & value stream.
  • Demonstrated people skills to support influence and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Accomplished negotiation, writing, presentation, and public speaking skills to influence stakeholders and achieve support for department outcomes.
  • Well-developed problem solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build cooperation and partnerships.
  • Demonstrated skills to oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, from project initiation to release and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
