About the role

Splashdown are searching for a proactive Customer Service Coordinator who thrives on creating exceptional customer experiences and supporting others to do the same. 

 

This role leads from the front - you’ll work alongside the team on reception and in shift supervisor duties, taking responsibility for daily operations and setting the standard for customer service excellence. 

 

You’ll coach and support the customer service team, help drive improvement to reception and service processes, and contribute to a safe, positive and community-focused environment. 

 

Work type: Permanent Full-Time (with Monthly RDO) 

Classification: Band 5 Commencing at $ 81,005 pa plus super 

Includes rostered morning, evening and weekend shifts across reception and shift supervisor duties. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead, mentor and support reception and front-of-house customer service staff. 

  • Work regular reception shifts: greeting customers, handling enquiries and processing sales. 

  • Rotate as a Shift Supervisor, overseeing daily operations and safety. 

  • Coordinate and continuously improve customer service, reception and sales processes. 

  • Maintain accurate records and support administrative and reporting requirements. 

  • Support centre promotions and community engagement activities. 

 

About you

Essential Experience: 

  • Experience in customer service or reception leadership 

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to supervise, coach and motivate a team 

  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based systems) 

  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City). 

Mandatory qualifications: 

  • Tertiary qualification in recreation, customer service, or relevant area (or equivalent experience) 

  • Level 2 First Aid 

  • Pool Lifeguard Award 

  • Working With Children Check (Employee) 

  • Current Victorian driver licence 

Highly regarded: 

  • AUSTSWIM Certificate 

  • Experience with PerfectGym or similar CRM / POS system 

  • Experience in leisure, recreation, aquatics or community facilities
