About the role
In this role, you will be part of a vibrant arts and events environment at the Bellarine Arts Centre, supporting the delivery of performances, functions and community activities. You will provide welcoming and professional front-of-house service across box office, bar and kiosk operations, while helping ensure the venue is safe, clean and well presented for all visitors.

Work type: Casual 
Classification: Band 3 $35.84 per hour plus super

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing friendly and professional customer service to patrons, hirers and community users.
  • Supporting box office, bookings, bar and kiosk operations during events and performances.
  • Assisting with event set-up, room preparation and general venue presentation.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment, including basic cleaning and adherence to OH&S procedures.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong customer service skills and enjoy working in a busy events or hospitality-style environment. You are adaptable, reliable, and confident engaging with a wide range of people, including community groups, schools and event patrons.

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service with the ability to manage enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Ability to undertake basic administrative tasks and use computer systems.
  • Understanding of OH&S requirements and ability to support safe venue operations, including physical tasks such as moving furniture or equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a Working with Children's Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
