About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Community & Recreation team, primarily around the City’s managed halls, community buses and associated facilities. You will focus on the daily operations of the bookings office, including administrative tasks, phone and customer enquiry management, routine reporting and invoicing processes.
Work Type – Fixed Term Part Time (4 days per week) through to 19 March 2027
Classification: Band 4 $76,010 pa plus super (pro rata)
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain appropriate administrative, operational, financial, processes and systems with a focus on Council managed halls, community buses and other facilities as required.
- Provide general administration support to the Community & Recreation department as directed by the Team Leader.
- Coordinate bookings and respond to enquiries relating to the use of council facilities and community buses.
- Contributes to the promotion and awareness of community facilities available for hire.
- Support site inspections and tours of council facilities for potential users.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in an administrative position with well-developed communication skills.
Essential Experience:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration, Business or related discipline, or lesser formal qualification with relevant administrative experience.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in a customer service focused environment.
- Experience in financial administration, including handling purchase orders, receipting, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and liaising with suppliers.
- Working with Children Check and Drivers Licence
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a Pre Employment Medical Assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
