A bit about the role
You will oversee the activities within the Works Centre yard facility.
This role supports the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures directly impacting the City Presentation Department
What you’ll deliver
- Coordinate yard operations including receiving/dispatching goods, vehicle loading/unloading, and maintaining site cleanliness and presentation.
- Ensure safety compliance through daily plant checks, safe equipment operation, and maintenance of the wash bay and triple interceptor.
- Support OH&S procedures by conducting hazard audits, managing SWMS and MSDS, and guiding staff on safety data locations.
- Foster positive relationships with staff, contractors, and the community while contributing to the City Presentation department’s goals.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant work experience; or qualifications with substantial experience.
- Competency in the use of relevant technology, including computers/mobile devices.
- Sound knowledge and practical application of OHS/WHS legislation, policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in a similar Facilities and/or OH&S Support role (Preferred).
- Drivers license for the use of loaders and forklifts.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
