A bit about the role

We’re looking for an experienced civil infrastructure professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to community safety, and the drive to make a real impact in one of Victoria’s fastest-growing regions.

As the Coordinator Road Management Plan Compliance, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure the safe, effective, and proactive management of the municipality’s civil infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will oversee inspections in line with the Road Management Plan, manage staff and contractor performance, investigate incidents, and contribute to strategic asset planning and reporting.

What you’ll deliver

  • Lead and coordinate proactive inspections of all civil infrastructure assets in line with the City of Casey’s Road Management Plan.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of staff and contractors to ensure compliance, quality, and timely delivery of services.
  • Investigate incident reports and insurance claims related to road infrastructure and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver regular compliance reports and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic and operational outcomes.

What you’ll bring

  • A nationally recognised civil engineering qualification or significant relevant experience in civil infrastructure management.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing contractors within a local government or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong understanding of road and asset management principles, including compliance with Road Management Plans.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver within set timeframes.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
