A bit about the role

You will coordinate the provision of administrative business functions that contribute to the effective delivery of planning outcomes for the City of Casey and meets the statutory obligations of the service.

What you’ll deliver 

  • Understanding of the complexities and dynamics associated with local government systems and procedures
  • Work effectively in a team environment to deliver high quality customer experience and outcomes for the planning service.
  • Foster and lead a culture of accountability, enabling, and customer focus.
  • Coordinate clear work objectives for the team, provide regular reviews and feedback, and motivate the team.
  • Provide advice on administrative issues within areas of responsibility and respond to basic enquiries.
  • Coordinate and develop the capacity of systems and workflows that support effective service delivery and satisfy the statutory obligations of the planning service.
  • Positively contribute to building and maintaining an innovative, empowered and engaged culture within the Planning and Building Department

What you’ll bring 

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Management with some relevant work experience in Statutory Planning.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a business support role with a focus on service delivery, customer experience and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, supporting and developing staff.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, & Eligibility to Work check.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
