We’ve created this exciting new leadership role within the Open Space and City Greening Business Unit in response to continued growth across the City of Casey. This is a fast-paced, delivery-focused position offering genuine variety and the chance to make a real impact. What you’ll deliver
- Lead the management and maintenance of Casey’s horticulture, outdoors public art, community facility surrounds and playspace assets.
- Lead the design and implementation of specific minor capital works and programs for horticulture, outdoor public art, community facility surrounds and playspaces within the City of Casey Capital Works Program.
- Provision of effective contract management in the areas of horticulture, outdoor public art, community facility surrounds and playspace maintenance and minor capital works.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of horticulture, landscape management and/or playground management.
- Extensive and proven experience in supervision of staff and managing contractors.
- Proven ability to provide positive leadership to a multidisciplinary, high performing team.
- A tertiary qualification in horticulture, landscape management, recreation or a related field.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, and possibly a Psychometric Assessment.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
