A bit about the role
This role supervises and coordinates maintenance works for roads, drainage, and other assets within the City of Casey, ensuring service providers perform efficiently and safely.
You will also assist in meeting specified policies, service levels, and standards.
What you’ll deliver
- Oversee daily operations of the work group and ensure service delivery aligns with best practices.
- Provide expert advice on Roads and Drainage Maintenance issues to the leadership team when required.
- Conduct inspections and audits, record defects, and report through Council systems to meet legislative requirements.
- Prepare and maintain schedules and records for maintenance works and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Deliver excellent customer service, including timely responses to public inquiries and operating minor plant when necessary.
What you’ll bring
- A basic secondary education and a certificate qualification equal to Certificate III in Civil Construction.
- Qualification with proven work skills and relevant experience in construction and or drainage maintenance works are essential
- Proven experience in supervision and leadership of staff.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing & Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
