About the Role
The City of Casey is seeking an experienced Organisational Development Team Lead to lead a specialist team and drive enterprise wide culture transformation, talent management and succession outcomes in one of Victoria’s fastest growing municipalities.
Based in Melbourne’s south-east, this role offers a genuine opportunity to work closer to home. Whether you live locally in Casey or travel from elsewhere, you’ll benefit from avoiding the daily CBD commute and, in most cases, travelling against peak traffic - gaining back time for life outside of work.
This team leader role suits an OD professional who combines strong people leadership with deep expertise in culture and talent management, and who values flexibility, impact and balance.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and develop a high performing Organisational Development / Culture Team, setting clear direction, priorities and performance expectations
• Drive enterprise wide culture transformation, embedding values, behaviours and future ready ways of working
• Own and govern Casey’s culture framework, roadmap and engagement strategy, ensuring consistency and measurable impact
• Lead organisational listening and employee engagement, translating insight into targeted action
• Drive talent management and succession planning, with specific accountability for:
• Identification and management of critical roles
• Development and retention of high potential talent
• Building diverse, sustainable leadership pipelines
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify capability gaps and workforce risks, turning insight into practical OD and talent solutions
About you
• Demonstrated experience leading OD, culture or talent functions in complex organisations
• Proven people leadership capability, including coaching, performance management and team development
• Deep experience in succession planning, critical roles and leadership capability
• Strong influencer with the confidence to partner with cross-functional leaders
• Values led, inclusive and outcomes focused leadership style
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, and Psychometric Testing
